Perfect Paws Vets Limited

I've been to Perfect Paws Vets today with a rescued pigeon I found yesterday and the people on reception were absolutely amazing and Christina and the other one (I can't remember her name) were absolutely amazing, caring and very professional and I would definitely recommend Perfect Paws Vets and I'll be updating them on progress. Absolutely amazing dedicated people, thank you so very much.

There were a number of things I’d been picking up on with my pet that were starting to concern me. None of them on their own seemed like a huge thing, but together they were enough for me to be fairly certain that something isn’t right. I wouldn’t take my pet to the vet unless I had concerns about changes I had noticed. I chose this clinic because they are independent, don’t belong to a large conglomerate, and present themselves as taking an integrative approach. The reviews were very good, so I hoped I had found somewhere I could explain what I had noticed and have it properly listened to. The bedside manner with my pet was good, but it felt quite procedural rather than genuine. The staff at the desk were friendly, so no issues there. The vet listened, but each thing was explained away separately without considering whether they could be connected. I have worked with animals all my life and spend a lot of time observing them, so I’m very aware of changes in their normal behaviour. At times I felt this wasn’t really being taken into account. There were also a few comments during the consultation that made me uncomfortable, particularly where assumptions were made without knowing the background. If nothing obvious could be found, I had hoped there would be some discussion about looking further or getting a referral. Instead, I was left feeling that was something I would have to decide and pursue myself. It’s extremely frustrating because I now have to go through the whole process again with another vet and try to find somebody willing to investigate further. I think the vet was capable of much more, but it felt like they were in auto mode. Nothing I said seemed to trigger any further thought. Part of that may have been the limited wording available on the online app before the appointment, but I also think the approach during the consultation played a part. I’m really disappointed.

Puppy classes are absolutely brilliant, Clover loves them and we loved bringing her and watching her grow into herself whilst also learning in the process. Thank you all so much, it's fab to have such a good vets to come to. Great premises tucked nicely away with parking and all lovely staff too. Much appreciated. Thankyou Charlotte and Amanda so very much. Interesting, educational and also a lot of fun. Clovers already missing you, and so will we. Wednesday nights have been a good happy experience for us all. Highly recommend them to others.

My dog could be reactive and even aggressive (she has been known to try to bite during appointments) due to fear of visiting our previous vets, however we registered with Perfect Paws and I cannot believe the difference. The vet took their time, played with my dog, offered treats, made her feel comfortable with the surroundings and she has really turned a corner, making treatment much less stressful. I am so impressed with the staff, they clearly care about their patients and are so welcoming. I could not recommend Perfect Paws more!

It was our first time using this vet practice since moving from another local vets. I can't recommend them enough. We were given a same day appointment and everyone there is so friendly. Cristina was absolutely incredible with our boy, he used to hate the vets but her patience and kindness helped him massively. The little separate area for nervous dogs is fantastic! Thank you 😊
